A new year is a great time to try something different. We’ve pulled together some of the best collections and courses from OpenLearn for keeping your mind and body fresh in 2024.

Although you may have made a resolution to give something up this year, why not try taking something up, too? Progressing in work

Maybe you’re keen to upskill and move forward in your career in 2024. You can check out our full collection of badged open courses on employability, all of which provide you with a free digital badge to improve your employability. There are also courses for more specific interests such as Reboot your STEM career and Applying Psychology to Work.

Get writing…

New year, new novel? Have you been itching to get your first novel started and haven’t known where to begin? Start with Ten top tips for writing a novel. Then delve into the resources such as Start writing fiction: characters and stories and Writing what you know once you’re ready to take your creativity to the next level.

Choose health

Whether you’ve indulged over the Christmas break and want a health kick, or want to focus on your mental health and wellbeing this year- we’ve got you covered with our free courses and articles. Getting fit

You can also get healthy by taking up more exercise; it doesn’t have to be strenuous – it can be as small as a brisk 20-minute walk everyday.
