OU academic hunts for Martians with BBC Radio 4

As part of a special week of Mars programmes on BBC Radio 4, Professor of Planetary and Space Sciences, Monica Grady, presents a 30 minute special programme about the search for life on the Red Planet on Monday 6 March 2017, 21:00.

In Hunting the Martians, Professor Grady explores the balance of evidence for Mars as a habitable and inhabited planet in the past and present. She also looks ahead to forthcoming missions aimed at searching for signs of biology on Mars, with a focus on the ExoMars Rover Mission, scheduled for launch in 2020.  Professor Grady visits the Mars Yard at Airbus Headquarters, Stevenage, where she will experience a prototype rover in action.

Senior Lecturer in the Department of Planetary and Space Sciences at the OU, Dr Manish Patel, speaks to his colleague, Professor Grady, about the contribution the ExoMars Trace Gas Orbiter Mission to the search life on the Planet.

Hunting the Martians on BBC Radio 4 on Monday 6 March 2017, 21:00, and then available on the BBC website.
